Margaret Thompson is a USA Cycling Level 1 (Elite) Coach and eight-time USA Cycling National Champion. She has competed in hundreds of cycling events, earning medals in the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships and setting records in the Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hill Climb – just to name a few. Margaret and her husband, Phil, incorporated a small business together, which sponsored the second all women’s cycling team in New York State from 1993 to 1996. Today, she coaches cyclists, from recreational novice through elite racer, on how to achieve their goals in the sport. A cervical cancer survivor who lost a close friend to the same disease, Margaret is extremely passionate about women’s health and about promoting an active lifestyle. She is the mother of two adult daughters, both accomplished athletes, and grandmother to a two-year-old granddaughter, Nikita Atma.
